About PDFMerger

PDFMerger is a free, browser-based tool created to solve one specific problem well: combining several PDF documents into a single file, quickly and privately, on any device.

Why We Built This

Most online PDF tools work by uploading your files to a remote server, processing them there, and sending the result back. That model is convenient, but it creates a problem: your private documents — invoices, contracts, medical reports, tax returns — temporarily live on someone else's hardware. For documents you care about, that is often not acceptable.

We built PDFMerger as a small, focused alternative. The merging happens entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device. When you close the tab, no trace of them remains anywhere.

Our Approach

Privacy First

No uploads. No accounts. No tracking of your file content. The tool works the same whether you are signed in or browsing privately.

Minimal & Fast

One page, one purpose. We do not bury the tool under signup walls, popups, or unnecessary features.

Open Standards

We use the open-source pdf-lib library so anyone can audit how the merging actually works.

Free to Use

The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, which lets us keep the core tool free for everyone.

How We Make Money

We do not charge users, sell data, or run a subscription. The site is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdSense. Advertisers pay Google, Google shares revenue with publishers like us, and that keeps the lights on. We have no influence over which specific ads appear, and we do not see or share anything about the PDF files you process. Details about advertising cookies are in our Privacy Policy.

Who Runs the Site

PDFMerger is an independent project maintained by a small team based in Kerala, India. We do not represent or partner with Adobe or any other PDF-related company. If you would like to contact us — for feedback, bug reports, partnership inquiries, or anything else — please use the Contact page.

What's Next

We are working on related browser-based utilities — splitting PDFs into individual pages, rotating pages, compressing file size, and converting between formats — all with the same privacy-first philosophy. If there is a feature you would find useful, please tell us.
