Terms of Service

Last updated: January 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PDFMerger website (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

PDFMerger is a free, browser-based utility that lets users combine multiple PDF files into a single document. All processing happens locally in the user's web browser. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service:

4. Your Content

You retain all rights to the PDF files you process using the Service. Because all merging happens locally in your browser, your files are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. You are solely responsible for the content of the files you choose to merge and for complying with any laws or third-party rights that apply to that content.

5. Intellectual Property

The design, text, graphics, source code, and arrangement of the Service are owned by PDFMerger or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for personal or commercial document-merging purposes, but you may not copy, modify, distribute, or sell the Service itself without our written permission.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party JavaScript libraries (such as pdf-lib) loaded from public content delivery networks, and displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFMerger, its operators, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, or (b) one hundred Indian Rupees (₹100).

9. No File Recovery

Because we do not store your files, we cannot recover or restore any merged PDF after you close the browser tab. You are responsible for saving the output file to your device.

10. Modifications to the Service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

11. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kerala, India.

13. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, please reach out through our Contact page.
